Fly Fishing at Tipiliuke

Fly fishing rainbow and brown trout is one of the main activities for guests during summer and autumn time. The property stretches 14 km. / 9 miles along the Chimehuín river and 7 km / 4.35 miles along the Quilquihue river. Both are known worldwide for their fish and the magnificence of their waters. Everything is arranged for fly fishing anglers to have an unforgettable stay including specialized guides, vehicles, outdoor lunches. Fly fishing goes from the beginning of November through the end of May thus covering spring, summer and fall.

Our River System

The wellknown Chimehuín (14 km/ 9 miles) is the largest of the two rivers that flow through the property. It meanders through the valley and its side channels also present wonderful angling opportunities. To see each pool please click on the cameras.

The Quilquihue river is three times smaller than the Chimehuín. It is a little steeper and has larger rocks. 7 km. / 4,35 miles of it flow through the property.

Both are known worldwide for their fish and the magnificence of their water.

Spring Creek
Tipiliuke lodge is very proud to inform that it has inaugurated its private Spring Creek of 2,6 km in November 2005. With government approval, Tipiliuke lodge was given the first authorization in the province to build a spring creek. The project has been designed by Interfluve Inc., a specialist engineering firm from Oregon (USA).
